This optical device looks at the objects to be sorted as they fall from the conveyor.
This will then determine whether the product is to be accepted or rejected, based
on the levels of light reflected from the product back to the optical sensors.
The sorting grade is determined by the application, set points and delay controls in the Control Panel.

These controls set the sensitivity of the machine, the color of the product to be sorted / saved and the time allowed for the product to fall in front of the reject unit.
Once a bad product is detected, the electronic unit times the objects progress until it is positioned correctly before the reject unit.

Each electronic Camera unit comprises of 40 optical sensing devices and 2 banks of L.E.D.’s which emit light at the product to be sorted.
